Alex Bond
Alex was born in Manitou Springs, Colorado. Manitou, which shares the Creative District designation with Mancos, is home to a vibrant collection of artists, hippies, and outlaws. Alex’s upbringing is rooted in artistic expression, creativity, and an intimate connection to the natural world. Currently, Alex lives in Mancos with his wife and 2 dogs and is incredibly proud and grateful to call Mancos home.
Alex is a metal artist, blacksmith, and wood turner who creates nature inspired art from his vintage, early 1900’s workshop a few blocks from this gallery. In addition to creating art, Alex works in the field of wilderness therapy to support teens and young adults in healing through nature and human connection.
