PATTY RUSSELL – BORN TO BEAD WILD JEWELRY DESIGN
A native of Washington, Montana and Alaska, I am now a cattle
rancher in the Mancos Valley – and a jewelry designer, too.
Oh yes, I also raise horses and a zorse! (Zoe is in the photo).
Our ranch is at the base of Mesa Verde National Park – what an
inspiration!
My “career” was highly technical. I balanced the work of engineering and construction management by going home and creating intricate jewelry. After a stressful day at work, I would
become lost in jewelry creation at night. Many construction and personnel problems were resolved as I focused on my beading while pondering the events of the day.
My work is showcased in “Beading with Seed Beads, Gemstones and Cabochons” volumes 5 and 6 by Sadie Starr. My work has been featured in galleries throughout Montana and Alaska. At the present time, my work is for sale at Artisans of Mancos Co-Op Gallery in downtown Mancos.

PAM LOGAN
Permelia E. Designs
My name is Pam Logan and I have lived in the four corners region for almost 20 years. I think the place is magical and the Native American and Hispanic Cultures are a great inspiration to me. I love the contasts of the mountains and the desert. I love the folk art of the native cultures, the simple, primitive styles and vibrant colors are very beautiful. I have been making jewelry for about 10 years and started silversmithing about 5 years ago. All of my pieces are handcrafted of genuine gemstones, glass, or antique trade beads. The metal is sterling silver or gold fill. I am constantly learning and evolving and that is what I truly LOVE about this art form!
