Live fully and do what you love. This is the crux of my life, and it has led me down many paths. In my art I strive to show the
spiritual nature of our land and how its fate is our own. It affects us all and is one way that people from all walks of life can bond.
There are no exclusions to our sacred consciousness on the face of the earth.
My personal life is marked by 3 major careers. From 1969 – 1977 I worked as a Juvenile Court Probation Officer.
From 1980 – 2005 I practiced law, mostly working as a business trial lawyer. Then I began my career as an artist.
I trained at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, CA , Pueblo Community College here in Mancos, and now
continue at nearby Fort Lewis College for another BA, this time in art.
My father served in the US Air Force, and the family traveled over the world. I was born in Japan and lived there some years,
later studying Asian history. Sometimes the theme of East meets West creeps into my work. My background is a true
American mix from real McCoy with American Indian to French Canadian and Swedish that ranched Southern
California since the 1860s.
I love the land and attempt to visualize its spiritual nature. May you enjoy my art and may it compel
a sense of quiet
love and strong determination. Do what you love and ONLY what you love, with courage, conviction and commitment.
