Barbara Stewart - Photography Barbara
Stewart You can purchase my photographs and cards at the Co-op. You can also visit my web site. Barbara Stewart-Hager has been photographing everything in sight since she was nine years old. She was inspired by a beloved aunt who became a professional photographer during an era when women were rare in the profession. She specializes in landscape and close-up flower photography, both in color and black-and-white. Barbara works both in film and digital media, and she makes her own archival prints, which are matted and backed with archival materials. Barbara is also an artist in sound. She is a violinist, pianist and teacher. She thinks that her musical training and experience has enhanced her photographic skills and that the reverse is also true. Her passion is to record beauty – visually and aurally – and passing the beauty to others gives her great joy. Barbara joined Artisans of Mancos in March 2008 after moving to Mancos with her family in the fall of 2007. Her photography can also be viewed and purchased at Picaya Home in Cortez, CO. Her landscape photography is for sale at Local Color Gallery and Gifts in Chama, NM, and her New Mexico Churches series may be purchased at Rio Lindo Furnishings in Albuquerque, NM. Check out her photography website at http://www.lilyrosephotos.com. If you see something on the website that you’d like, please contact Barbara at 970-533-7575, or through the website. Barbara has three music CDs available as well. One is a recording of J.S. Bach’s Sonatas & Partitas for Violin Solo; one is "Heritage", a collection of original compositions for Violin & Guitar, and most recently a recording of Barbara’s compositions for Violin & Piano entitled "Rejoice". "A thing of beauty is a joy forever. It will never pass into nothingness. "- John Keats, Endymion
